Surrounded by windswept beaches and breathtaking views of Boston’s skyline, Thompson Island offers an exclusive seaside destination for your wedding day. Invite your guests to experience the natural beauty of our 204-acre preserve, as our professional events staff delivers impeccable service and fine regional cuisine. Host a ceremony amid shaded arbors and dance under the stars—or go barefoot for a clambake on the beach. Spend an afternoon in hammocks, or an entire weekend in a historic Colonial home. Whatever your style, step aboard our private ferry and travel to the island of your imagination. We will arrange a private 25-minute charter cruise to transport you and guests to another world. All food is freshly prepared on-site and served by our professional event staff. A full variety of bar packages are available. Our overnight accommodations include a stunning 5-bedroom Colonial that sleeps 10 and is ideal for pre and post wedding festivities. Two additional benefits that set Thompson Island apart from other wedding sites: 1) Thompson Island books a limited number of weddings each year, thereby ensuring that this will be a truly memorable experience for your guests. 2) Thompson Island Outward Bound is a non-profit organization. Proceeds from events and weddings are used to fund our youth programs where thousands of Boston Public School children visit Thompson Island for free every year to participate in programs that combine hands-on science, outdoor experiences, and leadership development. Venue Notes

There is no rental fee for the reception and ceremony but there is a food and beverage minimum applied to all events. The venue allows 6 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $500/hr.
