The Walt Disney Family Museum Overview

The Walt Disney Family Museum is inspirational and a perfect fit for your magical wedding reception. Located in a historic brick building of San Francisco’s Presidio, the 40,000-square-foot museum has state-of-the-art technology, including more than 200 video screens sprinkled throughout the museum’s galleries. The breathtaking backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge, coupled with the natural beauty of the surroundings, embrace this unique venue in the charm of San Francisco. The theater boasts colorful seating and dramatic lighting, creating a magical setting for a ceremony. The museum lobby is an excellent spot for an intimate sit-down dinner, surrounded by an amazing collection of Walt Disney’s awe-inspiring awards and honors, highlighted by 29 of his Academy Awards. When San Francisco weather permits, two wings on the porch can be opened up to guests. Adjacent to the lobby is the stylish café, and together, the combined spaces is truly a memorable space for your celebration. Stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands can be enjoyed from a number of the galleries. Guests can peruse during cocktail hour and see the interactive, multi-media presentations about Walt’s life and work throughout this memorable space. Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $3,400 to $5,900 (depending on peak or off peak season) for a reception and includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $550/hr. A non-refundable security deposit of 50% of the rental fee is required. There is a $15 per person fee to open galleries, applicable for events on Tuesdays and after-hours events. Seated capacity is 50 guests. Cocktail seating hosts 100 guests and uses existing benches and bistro tables. Taste Catering, Exclusive Caterer.
