128 South, located in the historic VonKampen Building in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, offers a charming and versatile venue with rich history. If the devil is in the details, he certainly lives here! The late 1800s building boasts a Victorian facade with ornate details, including the original stained-glass windows, exposed brick walls, heart-of-pine beams, hardwood floors, and enormous bay windows. Its two-story interior features an open floor plan with a mezzanine overlooking the central lower level, accommodating events from intimate dinners to large cocktail receptions for up to 180 guests. The venue’s allure extends outdoors with a private deck offering unparalleled views of the Lower Cape Fear River, spanning from the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge to the Isabel Holmes Bridge, and including the iconic USS North Carolina battleship. Our private deck serves as an ideal setting for sunset ceremonies, festive cocktail hours, or dancing under the stars. Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $1500 to $4000 for venue access starting at 10am and ending at Midnight. The Food & Beverage Minimums range from $1500 to $2500 with no required minimum Monday through Thursday. Additional staffing fees may apply if menu complexity or extended event service is requested. The required deposit to secure a date on the venue calendar is $2000 which includes the refundable security deposit of $500.
