Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation Overview
The Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation is a beautiful place to marry the love of your life. Located in southwest Evanston, Illinois, this gorgeous synagogue offers an awe-inspiring setting in which to gather friends and family to witness your once in a lifetime event. Its stunning, environmentally friendly building was constructed in 2008 and was the first house of worship in the world to be awarded LEED Platinum status. Its grand Sanctuary/Social Hall can seat up to 350 people for a ceremony or 200 people for a reception. With an abundance of windows, high ceilings, and a moveable wall, this spectacular space will provide a stunning backdrop for your special event. The rental fee is between $2,300-$3,000 for a ceremony and reception and includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The fee for a ceremony only wedding ranges from $1,175 to $1,200. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $600/hr. A refundable security deposit of $2,000 is required. Please note venue is unable to host events Friday evenings and Saturday morning. Catering served must be kosher. A la carte options and discounts for members of the congregation are available, please inquire directly with the venue. As the first platinum LEED-certified synagogue in North America, all disposables must be compostable.Amenities And Requirements
