The Optimist Overview

Chef-restaurateur Ford Fry’s the Optimist brings a seaside fish camp experience to landlocked Atlantans. Opened in May of 2012, the Optimist was named Esquire’s Restaurant of the Year and one of the Best New Restaurants in America by Bon Appetit, and continues to receive critical acclaim from Atlanta magazine, GQ, Food & Wine, Travel +Leisure, and Conde Nast Traveler, among others. The ever-changing menu features high-quality, sustainable seafood masterfully paired with fresh, local ingredients by executive chef Pat Pascarella. From sophisticated, daily-catch dishes to crudos and beachside classics, the Optimist transports guests to their favorite coastal haunts. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. The Oyster Bar opens at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Oyster Happy Hour is available in the Oyster Bar from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Venue Notes

There is no rental fee for the reception but there is a food and beverage minimum applied to all events. The venue allows 2 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time.
