Chef Luigi Diotaiuti’s latest concept “Aperto” is named after the Italian word for “open”. Featuring an open kitchen, a comfortable atmosphere and honest Italian cuisine, Aperto offers Washingtonians the freshest Italian flavors with a contemporary twist . Aperto’s culinary philosophy combines Chef Luigi’s full- circle vision of providing patrons with the best from the past, present, and future of Italian cuisine while incorporating as many house-made, local, organic, free-range, and sustainably farmed products as possible. Enjoy a delightful Italian-inspired lunch, or dinner in our carefully appointed, inviting setting. Join us for an aperitivo - Italian cocktails created with our own line of house made liqueurs or carry out our classic dishes for lunch or dinner. When the time is right for you to host an elegant wedding, Aperto’s private rooms provide the perfect venue. Both dramatically appointed options will impress guests with the warm, homey atmosphere of an authentic Italian estate. The lighting, artwork, and seating complement both the cozy, intimate space, and world-class Italian cuisine. Our Capital Room accommodates 35 guests and the Wine Room can seat up to 20 guests. Chef Luigi and his team create personalized menus featuring his unique culinary flair for each private event. As a Certified Italian Sommelier, Chef Luigi is also perfectly poised to pair the best wines with his mouthwatering creations. We also enjoy hosting wine dinners, cooking demonstrations, and educational events. State of the art audio/video conferencing technology is also available.
