The Bee Hive Ballroom Overview
In the historic town of Northwood, Iowa, sits the Bee Hive Ballroom. Located above a brewery, this elegant little venue is also a beer lover’s delight! Originally opened in 1896 as the Bee Hive Department Store, the building was restored to its original architecture and was a 2016 “Iowa at its Best” award recipient for the preservation work. The ballroom can accommodate up to 125 guests and features tasteful wood floors, natural light, and an intricately patterned ceiling. At the Bee Hive Ballroom, clients don’t pay for the space rental, they pay for the beer. The wedding package includes a beer and wine bar featuring the speakeasy- perfect for beer aficionados! The venue also has a catering kitchen and the package offers a photoshoot and seating for up to 125 guests, amongst other amenities. The rental fee is $500 for a reception and ceremony includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a ceremony only wedding is $500.
