Sweet Water Music Hall Overview

Located in the Masonic Hall in Mill Valley, the Sweetwater Music Hall is a community gathering place and live music venue dedicated to bringing back the Sweetwater’s musical legacy to Mill Valley. Evoking the deconstructed elegance of a grand old home, the Sweetwater Music Hall café features an open kitchen and espresso bar. Walls dressed in exposed brick, warm camel color and rock ‘n roll photos from Jeanie Patterson’s Sweetwater frame the space, while three chandeliers hang languidly from the high ceiling and a U-shaped pistachio-hued banquette anchors the room. Moving into the music hall, guests are welcomed by an inviting ambience marked by a blend of comfort, rawness, beautiful touches and hidden acoustics. A long deep burgundy velvet and leather-tufted banquette runs the length of the room, while at the gorgeous back bar, elevated seating provides great sight lines across the music hall. Walls cloaked in antiqued burlap wallpaper with stenciled gold transition seamlessly to the coved ceiling, which reveals exposed wood joists and pin-spot lighting at its center. Sound panels are fashioned as decorative wall panels, while Moroccan wall sconces, black casework and black drapery accent the space throughout. Hosting your wedding at the Sweetwater Music Hall ensures that you will treat your guests to an inspired and unique event experience like none other.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $5,000 to $8,000 for a reception and includes 6 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. There is a food and beverage minimum applied to all events. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $1,000/hr. A refundable security deposit of 50% of the rental fee is required.
