San Francisco Zoo Overview

The San Francisco Zoo is an exotic wedding venue to escape to. You and your guests will enjoy the natural variety of the zoo’s flora and fauna while celebrating in style. The San Francisco Zoo offers accommodation for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. You may find yourself married in the African Savanna with giraffes and zebras, enjoying a drink in the historic 1940’s Lion House, and dancing the night away in the Bernard Osher Great Hall, a beautiful rustic suite with high beam ceilings and slate floors. If these sites don’t quite suit your taste, perhaps you and your guests will hang in the contemporary Lemur Lounge or Tropical Rainforest. The venue’s wide selection of areas throughout the zoo allows your wedding to be customizable. The zoo team works hard to see that your day is extremely special, with the option to source floral arrangements from in house gardens. Guests will find themselves on an adventure as they roam through exhibitions from one activity to the next! The San Francisco Zoo is a gorgeous and wild venue fit for an unforgettable celebration.

Venue Notes

The rental fee is $3,000 for a reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. There is a food and beverage minimum applied to all events. Extended hours must be approved and require an additional security and staffing fee. The set up fee for a ceremony ranges from $0 to $750 with reception rental. A non-refundable security deposit of 25% of the food and beverage cost is required; in addition to a 100% of the rental fee is required.
