The Oakland Asian Cultural Center Overview

Since opening its own facility in 1996 in the heart of Oakland’s Chinatown district, the OACC has been a popular venue for events of all types including wedding celebrations. The 15,000 square-foot space includes The Edward W. Chin Auditorium with dark wood paneling and contemporary details that create an ambiance of elegance. Cathedral ceilings that reach a height of 16 feet allow for excellent acoustics and a remarkable space for dancing and entertaining. Additionally, we do not charge extra fees for weddings at our venue. Whether you are looking to throw an intimate reception or the party of the century, the OACC’s versatile space will be a perfect fit for your dream event. Venue Notes

The Grand Auditorium starts at $1800 for an eight rental, plus labor, equipment and deposit for an event on a weekday or Sunday. For a Saturday event the auditorium rental starts at $2700 plus labor, equipment and deposit. Allow our staff to create a seamless and happy experience for you on your big day. Noteworthy features include a large parking garage located beneath our building, providing easy access for your guests. Additionally, we do not charge fees for the use of tables and chairs, ensuring a hassle-free experience as you plan your event. Our venue is ADA accessible. A refundable security/damage deposit of $500 is required for parties with no alcohol, or $800 for parties with alcohol. We can offer in house catering from Verbena Catering (her food is incredible).
