Straz Center for the Performing Arts Overview

The iconic David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts has become a favorite Tampa wedding venue among brides and grooms-to-be. The Straz Center offers several different indoor and outdoor spaces so you can host your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception each in a different spot if you desire. A truly unique feature of the Straz Center is the large stage surrounded by red velvet theatre seats, a dramatic location for your First Look. Imagine an elegant, riverfront wedding ceremony where you may walk down the aisle under a grand white tent with hanging chandeliers, while the river breeze gently rustles the trees. For couples that wish to hold an indoor wedding you can say “ I Do,” at the foot of the rich, red velvet staircase. Afterwards, the riverfront location provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor photos. Your guests will enjoy dining at Maestro’s Restaurant while overlooking the downtown Tampa skyline and toasting to your happiness. Cap the night off dancing on the hardwood dance floor and taking photos beneath the marquee!

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $700 to $1,000 for a reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. There is a food and beverage minimum applied to all events.The fee for a ceremony ranges from $250 to $1,000. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $100/hr.
