San Sophia Overview

For the couple that dreams of a mountain top wedding the San Sophia Overlook is the ultimate venue choice. This majestic spot is accessed by the Gondola and located just off the San Sophia Gondola Station, near the top of Lift 7. From your ceremony sight your guests will be rewarded with expansive views of the Town of Telluride, surrounded by mountain peaks and towering spruce trees and fresh, crisp mountain air. A wide path runs from the Gondola station, past the Nature Center to the site. The site offers a wooden deck for the wedding party perched at the end of the ridge and a grass amphitheater that can accommodate seating for up to 250 guests. You will walk down granite steps and a perfectly manicured grass aisle to a rustic wooden altar to exchange values. You will truly feel on top of the world as you say your vows surrounded by mountain peaks in complete seclusion with your loved ones.
