Center for Brooklyn History (BOOKINGS PAUSED TILL MARCH 2023) Overview

Founded in 1863, Center for Brooklyn History, formerly Brooklyn Historical Society is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the borough’s 400-year history. Located in the heart of historic Brooklyn Heights steps away from the Brooklyn Promenade, our 1881 building on Pierrepont Street is a national historic landmark and features timeless architectural details including stained glass windows, soaring ceilings and hand carved woodwork. Recently renovated with state-of-the-art facilities, Center for Brooklyn History offers one-of-a-kind space for your wedding ceremony, reception or engagement photo shoot. We can work with you to tailor a rental package custom-made for your event.

Venue Notes

Wedding rental rates range from $3,000 for ceremonies to $10,000 for use of the entire building. These rates are for space rental only and do not include catering or outside furniture rentals. Use of the Fransioli Lobby and the outdoor patio is included with all room rental packages. Center for Brooklyn History is a BYOB venue and we do not charge a venue corkage fee, so you can purchase your own alcohol at cost to be served by your approved caterer.
