Hawaii State Art Museum Overview
Featuring a large collection of works primarily by Hawaiian artists, the Hawaii State Art Museum is exemplary of the vivid and beautiful landscape of Honolulu. Located on the original site of the historic Hawaiian Hotel, the art museum offers several options to backdrop a flawless wedding. Overlooking the manicured Sculpture Garden, the second floor courtyard offers 4,200 square feet to party the night away with sconces and hanging lights twinkling above. Want even more space? The 11,700 square foot Front Lawn should do it. A choice location to admire the breathtaking outdoors while exchanging “I Do’s,” the lawn is lined with monkeypod trees, coconut, and areca palms, showing off the careful and detailed landscaping of the area. For a more intimate setting, this venue also includes the Sculpture Garden, a tropical retreat set against the lavish vegetation that will leave all your guests in awe. The rental fee ranges from $1,000 to $7,200 for a reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The fee to rent the Sculpture Garden for a wedding ceremony is $1,000. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $300/hr. - Alcohol must be served by licensed bartender/caterer- Alcohol service must cease at least a half hour prior to the end of the event- Amplified music OK indoors and outdoors- Approved outside caterer allowed- Flash photography within the galleries is not permitted- General liability insurance required- Music must end by 10:30PM- No birdseed, confetti, glitter, rice, or live animals- No fire or flammable items or devices are allowed in the galleries- No smoking- Venue must approve all decorations
