Peninsula Park Community Center Overview

For a flexible and accessible space to host your one-of-a-kind wedding, consider the Peninsula Park Community Center in Portland, Oregon! Built in 1913, this Italian villa style facility was the first community center in the Portland park system. Its original floor plan was perfectly symmetrical, consisting of one pool, two locker rooms, and two gyms - one for men, the other for women. Such separate-but-equal social attitudes were also reflected in the entryway murals: young men featured in the area leading to the men's side, and young women on the women's side. Aside from this historic significance, the venue also features a versatile space that you can decorate to reflect your dream wedding! The West Gym is a small, elementary school-sized gym with bench seating that works as a great space for larger parties or receptions. For a festive wedding celebration with up to 200 of your special guests, the West Gym and the Peninsula Park Community Center may be the ideal option!

Venue Notes

The rental fee is $100 for a reception and includes 2 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $50/hr. Please inquire with venue for pricing on deposit, as price varies depending on guest count. Please note, rentals that will serve alcohol must pay an additional $25/hr fee and pay an additional refundable security deposit. Please inquire with venue for specific details.
