San Diego History Center Overview
Located in the heart of San Diego’s historic Balboa Park, the San Diego History Center is an ideal setting for a stunning and unique wedding celebration. The gorgeous venue consists of a beautiful grand atrium and 8 different galleries. Impress your guests with a collection of intriguing exhibitions that chronicle San Diego’s diverse history. Your photographer will fall in love with the venue and it’s beautiful art collections. You are guaranteed to have stunning formal portraits. Let your love take center stage and declare your love in a romantic ceremony in the center’s Thorton Theater. The festivities continue with a cocktail reception in among the galleries of artwork. Smaller celebrations can include a grand reception complete with dinner and dancing. The dedicated event coordinator and venue manager is happy to assist you with planning the details of your special day.Venue Notes
The rental fee ranges from $3,500 to $4,000 for a reception and includes 8 hours of event time including set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $300/hr. Please inquire with the venue regarding a 4-hour rental fee package and the fees available. The rental fee also includes one hour of rehearsal time.Amenities And Requirements
