Gretna Green Wedding Chapel Overview

In 1888, Gretna Green Chapel & Event Center was built as a Redeemer Lutheran church. Coralene Costello from Scotland purchased the chapel in 1982. She renamed it after the most famous place in the world to elope – Gretna Green, Scotland, and it became and remains the first and only wedding chapel in Spokane, Washington. It is acknowledged by Spokane's Historical Society as the original and oldest wedding chapel in the Spokane area. With extensive renovations and over 30 years' experience of hosting events, Gretna Green Chapel & Event Center has once again become the perfect place for simple, fun, and comfortable elegance for weddings. The Chapel has a gorgeous light interior. The walls are textured in white and framed by windows that allow light to bathe the space. The altar is centered under an archway and the entire room has high ceilings for a dramatic and traditional ceremony. Gather your family and friends at Gretna Green Wedding Chapel for the most romantic day of your life.
