Atlas Performing Arts Center Overview

Located in the heart of Washington DC’s historic and thriving H Street NE neighborhood, the Atlas is a uniquely restored 1930’s art deco movie theatre that holds a special place in the hearts and minds of many people throughout DC and the region. The Atlas Theatre was fully restored as the Atlas Performing Arts Center in 2006 and is the perfect space to invite your friends and family to in celebration of your wedding day! Your guests will arrive to classic theatre exterior with an overhang of light bulbs creating a romantic golden glow before they enter the space. With six spacious venues available year-round, the Atlas Performing Arts Center is sure to have the right space to accommodate your wedding celebration. The Lang Theatre can host a large group for the perfect romantic wedding ceremony to share with all of your friends and family. For a more intimate affair, one of the smaller black box theatres, such as Lab I or Lab II, is ideal. Following the ceremony, the Kogod Lobby, is a nice place for a cocktail hour before your reception in one of the other spaces.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $125 to $400 for a reception and includes 1 hour of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The fee for a ceremony ranges from $125 to $500 with reception rental. Same rental fees apply for a ceremony only wedding. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee dependent on type of room rented. Please note, setup prices range from $35/hr to $125/hr dependent on which room is rented. Client can buy alcohol through a distributor to serve with a corkage fee.

- $250 bar manager fee- $50 fee per hour for bartender and $40 per hour for bar back- Alcohol must be provided by venue- Amplified music OK indoors only- Approved outside caterer allowed- Music must end by 8:00PM- Smoking outside only- Venue must approve all decorations
