Old Economy Village Overview

Tucked away in the charming town of Ambridge in Pennsylvania, Old Economy Village offers a beautiful historic venue that is ideal for a vintage wedding. This site was originally established by the Harmony Society, a long-lasting and successful religious commune that existed during the 19th century. With the aim of creating a utopia inhabited by German Lutheran separatists, the group purchased the property in 1824 and began to build the society they imagined. Though the community eventually petered out, the structures were donated to the state of Pennsylvania and have since become the setting for many beautiful weddings. During the warmer months, Old Economy’s finely kept historic gardens provide a romantic backdrop for saying your “I do’s” and taking beautiful wedding photos. The formal pathways, stone pavilion, and seasonal flowering hedges that bloom vibrantly help create a lovely atmosphere for an intimate ceremony. Combining a unique backstory with timeless beauty, Old Economy Village offers a lovely venue for weddings that hope to brim with romance.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $500 to $1,000 for a reception and includes 3 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The fee for a ceremony only wedding ranges from $250 to $850. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $100/hr. Please note, venue is open to the public until 4:00pm. Ceremony start time recommended from 4:00-6:00pm. Set up and take down included for up to 300. Indoor space available for traditional receptions for up to 100 guests. Room available in our 200 year old Feast Hall for parties greater than 100 includes a no dancing restriction. Availability may differ for off peak season, inquire with venue for details.
