Southmoreland Park Overview
Host an intimate wedding that guests of all ages can enjoy at the Southmoreland Park. This historic park was opened in 1899 and has stood in Kansas City for more than a century. The stunning stone walls surrounding the park share this rich history. Enjoy vintage benches and pathways in this quaint park right next to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park. The classic vibes exuding from this park is such that the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival is hosted here every summer. A playground on the grounds of this venue is the perfect pastime for your smallest guests. For couples who share a love for animals, you know that your wedding will not be complete without the presence and congratulations of your furriest friends. Invite them to run and play on the grassy, green meadows of this picturesque park. The rental fee is $175 for a ceremony and reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Clients can go tour then parks during open hours. For parties larger than 250 or for a 12 hour rental inquire with venue for details. No electricity is provided. Restrooms are not included in the rental. For weddings with more than 250 people in attendance, the use of large equipment (tents larger than 10 x 10, staging, large sound systems, portable restrooms, inflatables, etc.)l or consumption of alcoholic beverages will require general liability insurance for the event and fees for other permits needed may apply, inquire for details.Amenities And Requirements
