The Old Red Bridge in Minor Park is home to Kansas City’s Love Locks tradition and, as such, is an extremely appropriate site for a wedding ceremony. The placing of love locks is a custom whereby couples affix a padlock to a bridge, fence, or gate so pronouncing their unbreakable and everlasting love. The Old Red Bridge is a pedestrian bridge that sits over the Blue River in South Kansas City, providing a beautiful, historic and unique setting for your wedding ceremony. Celebrate your commitment by “locking your love” to the Old Red Bridge in Minor Park. You will have a magical ceremony surrounded by nature and under the clear blue sky. With the stream running below, you will commit yourself to your loved one, and lock yourself to them for eternity! Your guests can all bring locks too, and celebrate their loved ones as well as the newlyweds.Venue Notes
The rental fee is $150 for a ceremony and reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Clients can go tour then parks during open hours. For parties larger than 250 or for a 12 hour rental inquire with venue for details. No electricity is provided. Restrooms are not included in the rental. For weddings with more than 250 people in attendance, the use of large equipment (tents larger than 10 x 10, staging, large sound systems, portable restrooms, inflatables, etc.)l or consumption of alcoholic beverages will require general liability insurance for the event and fees for other permits needed may apply, inquire for details.Amenities And Requirements
