Avon Cinema Overview
Founded in the 1930's, the Avon Cinema is an independent and foreign-film first run movie house located in Providence, RI. The Avon Cinema has been located on Providence's historic East Side since 1938. Be blown away by a breathtaking example of Art Deco architecture and a piece of American history. This historic building has retained its splendor despite the decades since its construction and will be a unique venue for an intimate or large wedding. This simple yet elegant building can accommodate a variety of themes. Go for Old Hollywood glamour or all-out vintage to echo The Notebook. Decorate lavishly or make the venue quaint for an adorable wedding. This versatile venue also looks elegant with a more conventional decorative scheme of white, with string lights, voile, and fresh flowers to contrast the theater background. The rental fee is $2,760 for a ceremony and cocktail style reception and includes 3 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time.
