South Union Shaker Tavern Overview

The Shaker Tavern, built in 1869, is available to host your beautiful wedding day. Originally built as a business venture for the South Union Shakers, this property used to be a hotel for the “people of the world.” For more than 30 years, the Shaker Tavern maintained a thriving business, catering to the Victorian railroad travelers who stopped at South Union. Today, the Shaker Tavern is open once again to the public for accommodations and to host your wedding event with family and friends. A dedication to Shaker goodness combines with the “worldly” Victorian atmosphere to provide a unique bed & breakfast experience that your guests will love. Set in beautiful brick with 6 lovely white columns, the structure is warm, inviting and elegant. Outside, you’ll be surrounded by greenery and open space as you exchange your vows. Gather your loved ones at this charming historic location for a beautiful once-in-a-lifetime wedding celebration.

Venue Notes

The rental fee is $800 for a ceremony and reception and includes 8 hours of event time including set up and clean up time. A 1-hour rehearsal is included. Please inquire with the venue for ceremony only rates. A refundable security deposit of $150 is required. Guest rooms are available on property for an additional per night rate. Please inquire for guest room bookings.
