Host your nuptials at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts (KIA)! You may know about the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts' unique exhibitions and wonderful, family-friendly programs, but did you know you can also rent the KIA for your special event? The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts offers an artistic setting for your special day and an ambiance unparalleled by traditional wedding venues. Whether you want an indoor or outdoor celebration, a small gathering or grand affair, the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts can accommodate your wedding celebration. Say "I do" in a whimsical outdoor ceremony in the KIA Courtyard. After the ceremony, guests can enjoy a pre-reception cocktail hour in the Lobby. As guests mix and mingle you can pose for your formal portraits around the facility. Reunite with your guests in the Auditorium. Smaller wedding parties may opt to use the School Commons. Celebrate your new life with a delicious catered meal and dancing. The dedicated staff is ready to assist you in creating a wonderful event in this unique and elegant museum setting.Venue Notes
The rental fee ranges from $925 to $1,625 for a reception and includes 3 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for a ceremony is $375 with reception rental or $925 for a ceremony only wedding. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $375/hr.Amenities And Requirements

Requirements
- Amplified music OK indoors and outdoors- Approved outside caterer allowed- BYO alcohol- Candles, glitter, rice, confetti, and decor attached to the ceiling or walls are not allowed. Battery/flameless candles are recommended- General liability insurance required- Music must end by 11:00PM- Must provide General Liability Insurance. If serving own alcohol, must provide Liquor Liability Insurance. No cash bars allowed- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- No smoking- The rental fee includes 1 hour of Art Gallery time for you & your guests. Additional Art Gallery time may be added- To rent, bride/groom must be members or become members of the KIA. $125 membership will give them access to the KIA for 1 full year- Venue must approve all decorations
