In addition to the picturesque building, the Merrimon-Wynne House has expansive, beautifully maintained grounds. It was the centerpiece of a park-like setting at its original location on N. Wilmington Street. Located in the heart of historic downtown Raleigh, it sits on the birth site of Dr. Jane McKimmon, and is only a few doors away from the Governor’s Mansion. The Merrimon-Wynne House is over 5,000 square feet, and the grounds cover almost an acre of land. The property creates a perfect backdrop for your special day. Imagine an outdoor wedding in the grass, set in front of the iconic white home. Afterwards, mix and mingle with family and friends at a memorable reception.
