Minnesota Humanities Event Center Overview

The Minnesota Humanities Event Center offers a variety of event spaces for you to host your wedding celebration. Whether you envision a small gathering of your closest family and friends, or a fabulous affair of up to 150 guests, The Minnesota Humanities Event Center can accommodate your special day. Say "I do," showered in natural light with a romantic ceremony in the Library. The Library, with its warm atmosphere and full windows, is perfect for an intimate ceremony, cocktail hour, or champagne receptions. The Library is equipped with a built-in screen, ceiling mounted LCD projector, and sound system — ideal for playing your photomontage. Larger groups can dine and dance in The Commons. With its arched ceiling and full windows, the Commons serves as a beautiful backdrop for an elegant reception. For couples interested in an overnight or weekend long celebration, the Event Center also has 15 beautifully furnished overnight rooms with private baths. Whatever you envision for your special day, your wedding dreams can come true at The Minnesota Humanities Event Center.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $150 to $700 for a reception and includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The rental fee for a ceremony ranges from $125 to $175 with reception rental or $500 for a ceremony only wedding.

Requirements

- Alcohol must be served by licensed bartender/caterer- All food and beverage handled by venue- Amplified music OK indoors and outdoors- BYO alcohol- Catering provided by venue- Music must end by midnight- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- Outdoor music must end by 10:00PM- Smoking outside only
