You and your guests will be inspired by Louisiana's rich history and culture on display in the museum's galleries. The Upper Lobby and Terrace is a perfect location for a heartfelt wedding ceremony. Guests will be totally captivated from the moment you make your dramatic stairway entrance. The distinctive and elegantly appointed Plaza is fully sheltered outdoor space ideal for a magical wedding reception. The Plaza is set against green lawns and a quiet reflecting pool. The unique space boasts magnificent views of the State Capitol and is a dazzling venue rain or shine. There are several other spaces all equally stunning. The rentals coordinator will help you find the perfect fit for your special day.Venue Notes
The rental fee ranges from $5,600 to $6,650 for a reception and ceremony and includes a $3,000 tax deductible donation to the museum. The rental also includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The rental fee for a ceremony only wedding ranges from $4,200 to $4,400.Amenities And Requirements

- Alcohol must be served by licensed bartender/caterer- Amplified music OK indoors and outdoors- Approved outside caterer allowed- BYO alcohol- General liability insurance required- Music must end by 11:30PM- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- Smoking in designated areas only- Venue must approve all decorations
