Clayton Opera House Overview
The Clayton Opera House is a Nationally Registered Historic Place. The stately four-story brick structure overlooks the St. Lawrence River in downtown Clayton, New York. The Opera House has served as an important hub for cultural and community events for over a century and is a fine example of the vaudeville theaters which sprung up throughout the United States in the early 1900s. The historic performance hall and community center is also available for rent year-round. With distinct and beautifully appointed spaces available and a main floor that has removable seats, the opera house can be reconfigured to suit the needs of your wedding celebration. Whether you opt to host both ceremony and reception on site, or just want to use the opera house for a fabulous reception, the dedicated staff is committed to helping you make your wedding day a success! The rental fee ranges from $1,500 to $3,500 depending on the time of year, day of the week, and which room(s) you are looking to rent. Both the ballroom and performance hall are available to have the ceremony or cocktail hour and reception in the same location. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required to officially hold the date of your event. Once we have received the security deposit, the date is yours and no other events will be held in our location on that day.Amenities And Requirements

Requirements
- Alcohol must be served by licensed bartender/caterer- Amplified music OK indoors only- Approved outside caterer allowed- BYO alcohol- General liability insurance required- Music must end by 11:30PM- No open flame candles- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- No smoking- Venue must approve all decorations
