Greater Light Overview
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood off upper Main Street, Greater Light has undergone many transformations since its construction. Originally built as a livestock barn, is was later converted into a summer home and art studio by eclectic Quaker sisters Gertrude and Hanna Monaghan in the 1930’s. Today, this magical venue has the artistic feel of a lush secret garden. Enter this whimsical property through towering 12-foot hand-forged iron gates, which leads you to a lush secret garden. The romantic gardens are a great fit for a breathtaking ceremony, open air seated dinner, vintage-style tea parties or an enchanting cocktail style occasion. The small indoor gathering space is ideal for intimate wedding receptions, allowing you and your loved ones to dine beneath towering ceilings surrounded by stunning floor-to-ceiling windows that welcome in the natural light and make the room glow!Venue Notes
The rental fee starts at $3,000 for a reception and ceremony and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. A refundable security deposit of $1,000 is required.
