The First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables exudes ultimate old world charm and is full of classically stunning details from floor to ceiling. Home to the largest pipe organs in the Southeastern US, the church has an elegant atmosphere perfect for your special day. The breathtaking venue is a basilica in the Spanish Mediterranean style complete with wooden arches replicated from the Spanish Moors. Guests will marvel at the high vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and marble floors behind the alter. For couples seeking a more intimate celebration, the venue also offers a smaller chapel. The rental fee ranges from $1,800 (in the chapel) to $2,500 (in the Sanctuary) for a ceremony. The fee includes: One (1) hour for the rehearsal prior to the wedding ceremony; Two and a half hours (2 ½) from start to finish for the wedding ceremony; The wedding fee also includes: the Church, Wedding Coordinator, Officiating Minister, Organist, Sound Tech, Custodian and Utilities; Premarital Counseling (four required premarital counseling sessions) prior to ceremony; Unity Candle Stand (bride will be responsible for the 2 tapers (14"-16" inches or taller) and the center pillar candle; Wedding Kneeling Bench; Two (2) white columns for the wedding bouquets; A beautiful Bridal Room and a Groom’s Room on the day of the ceremony.
