Riversdale House Museum Overview
Riversdale, an elegant Federal style manor house, was constructed between 1801 and 1807 for Henri Stier, a Flemish aristocrat; it was completed by his daughter, Rosalie, and her husband, George Calvert, grandson of the fifth Lord Baltimore. Today, this elegant architectural gem has been restored to reflect the lifestyle of the Calverts in Federal America. The grounds around the museum are pristine with manicured lawns and vibrant flowers. Inside the museum, a large carpeted ballroom in late 19th century décor invites a regal affair. Admire the period details adorning the museum and take advantage of the gorgeous space and grounds to take wedding photos. The sweeping staircase decorated with a Greek statue, for example, is perfect for photo opportunities! At Riversdale House Museum, enjoy the charming, historic ambiance on your big day.Venue Notes
The rental fee ranges from $840 to $1,380 for ceremony and reception depending on whether the bride or groom is a resident of Prince George’s or Montgomery Counties. For residents of Prince George's or Montgomery Counties, a wedding in the museum ranges from $840 to $1,150. For nonresidents, a wedding in the museum ranges from $1,008 to $1,380. The venue allows 7 hours of event time including set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required. The renter must be 21 years in order to rent Riversdale. Estimates provided by Wedding Spot are based on a wedding with pricing for residents of Prince George's or Montgomery Counties.
