Darnall's Chance House Museum Overview
Thank you for your interest in Darnall’s Chance House Museum’s rental facility. Our rental facility is comprised of our outdoor tent covered brick patio, restroom facilities, and caterer’s warming kitchen. Our max capacity is 125 guests. Darnall’s Chance offers renters the use of our eighteen tables, 12 of which are 5 ft. round tables, the other 6 are standard rectangular tables. We also have two topiaries. Additional items and decorations are the responsibility of the renter. Call to schedule a rental tour. Our tours are held on Sundays between the hours of 12 noon and 4pm. On the rental tour we give you a packet of information, show you around the facility and answer any questions you may have at that time. Our phone number is 301-952-8010. Opened to the public as a historic house museum in 1988, Darnall’s Chance House Museum is dedicated to the interpretation and study of the history and culture of 18th century Prince George's County, Maryland; the museum's specialty is on the lives of mid-18th century women.Venue Notes
The rental fee ranges from $960 to $1,150 for a reception for residents of Prince George's or Montgomery Counties. The venue includes 7 hours of event time including set up and clean up time. The fee for a ceremony and reception at the museum is $1,390 and includes an extra hour of event time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $240/hr.
