Built in the mid 1920s, the Historic Venice Train Depot is a beautiful spot to tie the knot. This gorgeous Mediterranean Revival style building is located on picturesque park land in Sarasota County and features spectacular views of the Intercoastal Waterway. Its main indoor event venue is the Freight Room; a rustic space boasting exposed brick walls, wood floors, large windows, and an attached patio. This versatile room can accommodate up to 50 individuals and will act as a blank canvas that can be transformed to suit your wants and needs. Outside, the Depot features a historic Caboose with a 1,920 square foot patio, as well as a beautiful covered walkway. Your wedding photographs are sure to be breathtaking when you pose as newlyweds all around this scenic property. The stunning landscape and historic charm of the Historic Venice Train Depot make it a wonderful setting for your wedding celebration. The Freight Room rents for $36 per hour plus tax. It includes 70 chairs and 6 (60") round tables. You have use of the patio outside as well. The entire rental fee is due at the time of making the reservation. There are no kitchen facilities on site. The restrooms are open to the public. There are no staff on site, so you will be given a code to unlock and relock the doors. The keypad is located on the upper level patio behind the large green wooden door. Your reservation must include all your set up and tear down time.
